Quick prayer request and News
I’m going to meet with the Worship Leader of Zion Christian Church Thursday evening to see if I’ll be a good fit to help them with their sound and light programs and I would appreciate it of you guys would send up a little prayer that God’s will would be done in my life and the churches. And that we would be open enough to His leading to recognize it.
By the way, my company Liberty Aerospace just produced and celebrated the 100th airplane produced. It was a very emotional moment for many there and I’m deeply grateful to be a part of this fantastic team.
More later, Be Blessed

The “I hate making up titles” thread
Seriously, If I was actually that organized I would scare people and myself probably.
Besides, I have too many subjects in this post to “neatly” categorize. So here we go.
I’ve shaken off the worst of my sinus infection, no thanks to the local “urgentcare” doctor. And who really thinks a three hour wait is “urgent” anyway? This “doctor” prescribed some medicine for me with codeine in it, which I happen to be allergic to, I’m pretty sure if this dork would have read my chart he would have noticed where the nurse wrote my allergies with RED marker! And then to make matters worse, the local walmart pharmacy asked me for my allergies list and never even mentioned that this stuff has codeine in it. So naturally, the next day I took an ambulance ride to the local hospital where the doctor informed me that I was having an allergic reaction! No S@#T, Sherlock. But, no matter, I got some much better stuff, including anti-biotic’s, which the “urgentcare doctor” didn’t think I needed. Long story short, I miss my old doctors, you know the ones who actually know something about you AND read your chart. <end rant>
I went church visiting again this sunday and this time I ended in Palm Bay at a nice little church called Zion Christian Church. It was a really nice experience, great worship, good sound teaching and very friendly people. The pastors name is Tom, so that’ll be easy to remember ( Hi Tom, Love ya Bro!).
He gave me an eye opening moment during his message, so dig on this. Remember when Jesus was in the boat with the Apostles and they thought they were sinking and such and JC was sleeping in the boat. Well, Jesus was already WITH them in the storm, but He didn’t become INVOLVED in their storm until He was INVITED. Whoa, that’s some hard hitting preaching right there.
Early last week I made a positive move to get flying again. First I got my Medical re-instated (it had lapsed because I couldn’t afford to renew it) and Second, The Customer Flight Instructor at Liberty has already been talking to me about getting some flying time in the XL-2. I can’t wait to get some air time again. I would have been up this week if it weren’t for that stupid sinus infection. That was the good news I mentioned in my last post. Sorry Tom I won”t be up north again until early April.
Stay tuned for more wacky and crazy happenings from SG4JC!

I thought this was vacation land?
Well, Trust me my friends, illness absolutely does not take a vacation.
I am currently fighting a serious sinus infection and, quite frankly, it s**ks.
Which puts the exercise regimen on hold until I can actually stand up again. Although the good news is I lost about 3 pounds over the last couple of weeks. Bleh, I feel crappy again. I’ll fill you in on all the exciting SG4JC news later this week. Stay Tuned!
(And there is definitely some good news, too)

SuperMike???
Well, not exactly. I just started a new program of exercise and improved eating habits today. My new job has a FREE gym membership as part of the health insurance plan. Which actually makes sense. If your workers exercise and eat better, then they probably won’t need as much health care! What a concept!
So, yesterday I went to the gym and met with one of their exercise specialists. He started me off at the lowest level, otherwise known as “couch potato”LOL. Just kidding. Actually, my program is 5-6 days of cardio (treadmill or bike) for a minimum of twenty minute and 3 days of upper/lower body weight training with a day or two break in between.
So today, I hit the gym for real and did thirty minutes on the treadmill. Tomorrow, treadmill and weights. Also, I’ve decided to make some small improvements in my eating habits. For instance, today I had veggies (green beans) with my lunch which unfortunately was a half of a BBQ rib and tonight I had a serving of fruit (pears) with my dinner (a sandwich).
So, I’m on my way to a better me. Keep me in your prayers that my resolve won’t waver.
Have A Blessed Day!

And the winner is…
Everyone who got to see me on Sunday and/or Monday! Yes, that was the big surprise. I had managed to get a cheap round trip ticket to the great white north (Michigan) and made my appearance at NewSong Community Church. It was great to see all my friends like; Mudpuppy, Beartracks, Rambler and, of course, Semper Fi! (just some of the great people I got to see)
I love you guys! It was the best Christmas gift that I could give myself. And the look on Semper Fi’s face when I walked in was pure priceless! I also got to spend all Monday hanging out with my real family at my brothers house. Good times were had by all.
I’ll be taking a little break for New Years, but I’ll be back bright and early next week to entertain you with more continuing adventures of SG4JC!
Have A Happy New Year!

Dinner Time!
I’ll never eat mac & cheese again. I don’t know how I’ll ever go back to eating plain old food after the two mind blowing meals that I’ve had this week. So here’s the low down.
A friend from work who is originally from France graduated from college with his Masters degree (yes he really IS a rocket scientist) this week and invited some of us over to his house on Wednesday for a fish fry and fun. So this guy and and his Dad, who flew in from France for the graduation, and some others went deep sea fishing and each one caught a three foot King fish!
But that’s just the start of the story, His Dads real job is as a chef for a five star restaurant in Monaco! His Dad created for us a five course meal of king fish and fresh shrimp, which included a form of Sashimi with a fantastic sauce, a version of fried shrimp that should make Red Lobster hang it’s head in shame, Shrimp Kabob’s, A main course of baked King fish and potatoes drizzled with olive oil and salt, and cake for dessert! I have never had fish melt in mouth like that before. It was absolutely amazing!
Round two was on Friday when I drove to Miami to meet my Brother and Sis-in-law who were just getting off of a cruise ship. They didn’t have to fly back to Michigan until Saturday, so it was a great chance to meet up for dinner. Before I got there in the evening they had already scoped out an Italian place called Randazzo’s in Coral Gables, FL. If you’re going to eat there, I suggest that you don’t eat anything for at least two days before you go, because their portions aren’t just generous, they’re insane! I chose their Fettuccine Alfredo Losorda without any shrimp or chicken and I couldn’t even eat half of it. My family was having similar trouble finishing their meals. However, each dish was incredible.
So, next weeks blog should probably be about my new weight loss program, cause I’m going to need it if I keep getting fed like that!
Stay tuned for more SG4JC adventures!

Birthdays and Rockets, Oh My!
My favorite friend and Pastor from that crazy Newsong Community Church just had a Birthday! And He’s still older then ME!
Love Ya Bro!
Anyway, I found out that my work is close enough to Cape Canaveral to actually see it when they launch rockets and such. What an unbelievable sight! Unfortunately, it wasn’t the Shuttle, which is grounded until January. Bleh! Well, I’m still trying to settle into this whole Florida thing. It ain’t as easy as it looks, kids. I can’t get my head wrapped around the idea that it’s Christmas without snow (or at least freezing cold). I met a waitress at a local restaurant who had moved here from New York and she said she’s been here for four years and is still having trouble with the whole warm Christmas thing.
I’ll be visiting Miami this weekend as my real blood brother will be there, so we’re meeting up for chow and gab and such. It should be a good time. I’ll update y’all on my impressions of Miami next week, so until then;
Have A Blessed Christmas!

December what?
Good grief, what happened to November? I was at work today and it suddenly occurred to me that it is DECEMBER! So, as far as I can determine that is definitely a downside to being where it’s sunny all year round. I have no clue what season it is.
Anyway, I’ve been discovering the joys of sushi down here. I NEVER thought I’d eat raw fish, but I must admit, I’m really starting to like it, especially anything with tuna in it.
Those buds of mine at work sure love to eat! We go out to lunch at least two or three times a week. Never got that kind of treatment from my old job. I am pretty thankful for my new job. Great place to work, great people to work with, great long term prospects.
And Florida gets cooler the longer I’m here. The people down here are so friendly! It’s just nuts. Even the people that work at the DMV, that right, A government agency. I was just floored by how cool those guys (and gals) were to me (the newbie). So now I’ve got a Florida License and a Florida plate, so I guess it’s official. I’m here for a little while at least.
I know I’m just rambling here, but I ain’t got nothing important to say anyway.
Stay tuned for the continuing adventures of the SG4JC.

Sundays, gotta love em
I should of made my first new post about tryptophan. You old timers know what I’m taking about. Anyway, I visited a church in Melbourne today called Calvary Chapel and they seemed pretty cool. It’s a big church, some 800 people in the main Sanctuary and another group off campus doing the telecast thing. The Pastor there was really getting in our faces about sin and just accepting sin into our lives, and how it would prevent us from getting to heaven if we continue to “entertain” sin. Hard hitting but very much needed.
The alter call was massive. At least 1/4 of the building was down there. I’m going to visit again next Sunday, but I’m going to go early and chat with some of the people working there. I heard a rumor that they might be looking for sound techs. We’ll see about that somewhere down the road. I want to get into one of there small groups and see how well they interact with each other.
Of course, I’m still missing my Newsong Family. I hope and pray that everything is going good for you guys. I’ll be posting more about where I live and where I work later, so stay tuned for more “down south” adventures!
